6 Steps To Clean The Bathtub

The bathroom is one of the places in the house that requires the most maintenance and care. It is very easy for bacteria, mold or lime to accumulate due to frequent use and the accumulation of humidity in this room.
The bathtub can get dirty with soap residue, limescale, rust or mold stains. In this blog we are going to give you several tips on how to clean the bathtub in 6 steps.
1. Choose A Suitable Product

You can use natural products such as white vinegar or baking soda, but they will not be as effective as specific products for cleaning the bathtub. Additionally, stronger products such as bleach can end up damaging surfaces. For this reason, it is ideal to choose specific products for cleaning these surfaces, which effectively remove lime and dirt residue and eliminate 99% of the bacteria, fungi and viruses involved. Additionally, it eliminates bad odors and prevents the appearance of mold.

2. Empty The Bathtub

Remove all items from the bathtub, such as shampoos, sponges and other utensils or products that you have in the bathtub. Remove hair and soap residue accumulated in the drain or other parts of the bathtub.

3. Clean And Let The Product Work

• Read these tips to use the product correctly:
• Read the instructions provided by the manufacturer very carefully, as this is what will ensure good results.
• Spray the product into the bathtub from a distance of about 20 cm. Spread it well over the entire surface with a clean, damp cloth, including the corners.
• It is not advisable to use scouring pads or brushes, as they could damage the bathtub. It is better to use cloths or rags.
• It is recommended to let the product work for about 15 minutes in the areas where lime or dirt is most evident. Then rub to remove any remaining dirt and rinse well.

4. Don’t Forget The Shower And Taps

In addition to applying the product to the surface of the bathtub, you should apply it to the taps and the shower head. It is very important to clean the shower head because dirt accumulates in its holes. To clean the shower in the bathroom, you must apply the product and follow the instructions for use. If there is a lot of limescale, it is necessary to disassemble it and leave it to soak in an anti-limescale product for a while, then scrub with a brush and rinse very well.

5. Rinse And Dry The Corners And Joints

After letting it work, rinse with the same shower hose and dry the points where water can accumulate, to prevent the formation of mould.

6. Ventilate The Bathroom

It is important to ventilate the bathroom every day for at least 10 minutes to remove the humidity. Open the door and the window to create a draft that helps dry the bathtub. If there are no windows, use the extractor fan long enough for the fogging to disappear.
